Tired? Try Red Bull!

Let me begin by wishing everyone a very merry Friday the 13th. I used to especially love Friday the 13th when my sister and I were both living at home because we would stay up all night and watch the marathon on USA of all the accounts of Jason Voorhees (yes, I went to the official website just to check the spelling). I loved how predicatable the movies were. Whether it was teenagers having sex in a log cabin, a tent in the middle of nowhere, or just on the edge of Crystal Lake, Jason was always there with machete in hand ready to carve them to pieces!

But anyway, that's not the point of today's story. I was so tired all day today. I think sleep deprivation is finally catching up with me. I only got 5 hours of sleep last night, which for me "no work," as Aunt Voula would say on My Big Fat Greek Wedding. So today I was at Safeway purchasing my soy cheese pizza, when I found myself unable to even keep my eyes open. So in the line, that's when I saw the Red Bull glistening from within the refrigerated impulse-buy section. I couldn't resist...they even had one without sugar! So I placed it in my basket, made my purhase, and guzzled that little treat like I had just spent two weeks in the Sahara. By the time I got to my apartment, I was feeling like Jack on Will and Grace when he was dating the guy from the coffee shop and he got all the free coffee he wanted. I was buzzing like a bee! I was perky, I was vibrant, I was alive. I think if this whole lack of sleep persists, I may have to set aside a place in my budget for a weekly supply of Red Bull. If you have never tried it, I strongly encourage it.

That's all for now. Again, happy 13th. Stay away from the weirdos...unless you live in San Francisco and just can't avoid them. Ciao.

jeff, jeff, jeff. you know those movies are bad for you and you'll wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat because "you're having a bad dream." i guess that you're old enough to make your decisions for yourself.

nice blog.
