According to who? If I remember correctly, the officer said you were going 96 mph but you thought you were going 92 mph.
I believe you actually received a ticket for going too slow (I'm thinking 35 mph or so), and you're just trying to impress us with your faux daredevil tales. For shame!
According to the officer, you were going 96 mph. But you thought you were going 92. And so then he gave you a ticket for $244.00. Too bad you weren't driving a white Bronco...
